The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Filipinnovation network in partnership with the Ayala Technology Business Incubator-Ayala Foundation invite technology entrepreneurs in Region VI, VII and VIII to the Open TechBootCamp to be held at City Sports Club, Cebu Business Park, Cardinal Rosales Avenue, Cebu City on June 28, 29, 30.
This Open TechBootCamp targets innovative ideas in green technology, biotechnology and ICT. It helps teams (from academe, R & D organizations, etc), budding technology entrepreneurs as well as existing companies push their ideas, shape the product, fund and commercialize these through a three (3) day workshop of learning, mentoring and simulation sessions. These modules, handled by a panel of business and technology experts, and venture funders cover topics from ideation to innovating for value, from shaping the product to funding and crafting the business concept. On the third and final day, participating teams get the opportunity to pitch their ideas/business concepts to a panel representing business sectors and would be funders.
Four TechBootCamps have been held so far by the Ayala Technology Business Incubator-Ayala Foundation with partners, the latest of which was the first ever Green TechBootCamp with DOST and Filipinnovation Network.

Alumni Teams from the TBCs have benefited from the added exposure in terms of market visibility and investor interest. These companies include:
- PobleTech - Michael Poblete was invited to pitch at the Adolfo Ibanez School of Management in Miami, Florida through the sponsorship of Ayala Foundation and Octantis Business Accelerator that spearheaded a World Bank-funded high growth group.
- Ascendant Technologies – a start up in medical informatics, has been targeted as a recipient of resource funding from Plug and Play, a Silicon Valley Start Up.
Do you have an exciting idea? How do you think you can make money out of it?
We seek and encourage teams to take advantage of this opportunity to spur innovation and commercialization.
Sincerely,
